Fortnite Zero Build Duos Tournament

Tournament Format: Point-Based Fortnite Duos 

1. Teams and Registration: 

● Teams consist of two players each.

 ● Register by Sunday, March 17th 

● Pay $20 Participation Fee on Tournament day (March 17, 2024) 

2. Point System: 

● Assign points based on performance in each match. 

● Point system: 

● Victory Royale: 25 points 

      ■ +10 points for both team members alive at end 

● Elimination: 1 point per elimination 

● At completion of each match, team members will raise their hands for a Game Coach to come over and record their scores. Scores will not be counted if a Game Coach does not see it. 

3. Matches: 

● Players will continuously play from 2pm to 4pm. 

● Participants accumulate points after each match. 

● Players will complete as many matches as they can in two hours to increase their score. 

● Score sheets with Team name, player 1, player 2, total scores 

4. Scoring: 

● Points are calculated at the end of each match. 

● Team scores are cumulative throughout the tournament. 

● Scores will be kept on a spreadsheet for transparency. 

5. Tiebreakers: 

● In case of a tie for 1st or 2nd place, we will create a custom game with teams with same scores. 

6. Game Settings: 

● Use standard Fortnite game settings. 

● Duos ● Zero Build 

7. Communication: 

● Teams are encouraged to use in-game voice chat or external communication platforms (e.g., Discord). 

● Next Level Gaming has headphones with microphones that can be used, players can also bring their own headsets. 

8. Fair Play and Sportsmanship: 

● Emphasize fair play and good sportsmanship. 

● Discourage cheating or exploiting glitches. 

9. Prizes: 

● Cash Prize Pool for Winner. 1 hour Game Pass Gift Card for winning team 

● 1 hour Game Pass for second place team. 

10. Rules and Code of Conduct: 

● All players will abide by the rules of the tournament. 

● Registered Team must have two players. 

● Players must have their own Fortnite account to play on, guest accounts from Next Level Gaming can not be used for tournament play. 

● Respect Next Level Gaming staff and other tournament participants. 

● Cheating/Hacking will result in tournament ban. 

12. Tournament Schedule: 

● Sunday, March 17th 1:30pm to 4pm, games will start at 2pm. 

● Players can start playing anytime between 2pm and 4pm, however, starting at 2pm would be most beneficial for players to get as many points as possible. 

13. Registration Fee: 

● $20 per team 

● 50/50 Prize Pool (Max 9 Teams = $90/$90)
